When the frame was powder coated I forgot to mask an area around the frame ground point for good electrical contact. I ended up using a forstner bit in my drill motor to remove the powder coat material down to bare metal. Not the proper use of a tool, but it worked well.
I've used silicon boots on the exterior connections as well as a small amount of dielectric silicone grease over the metal contacts to help prevent corrosion.
