I started making up the battery and ground cables using highly flexible welding cable. This cable is a pleasure to work with compared to the stuff furnished with the kit. I have to make several short lengths to attach the battery to the Lamar MC10 control unit and the furnished cable was too hard to bend in such tight spaces.
I will be soldering the lugs onto the ends instead of crimping them. I've ordered some thick walled adhesive lined shrink tubing to provide strain relief at the cable ends. The cable comes in both red and black colors.
