This weekend's project was to finish cutting the main instrument panel. I fitted each instrument to it's cutout, then shaped the perimeter of the panel for a good fit in the pod. I used an abrasize wheel on my drill press to smooth the edges. I have this panel laid out in a CAD drawing for laser or water-jet cutting. I thought that I'd do it the old fashioned way by hand and if it doesn't turn out, I'll have it laser cut. It's taking a lot more time than I initially thought, but what doesn't?
