Brief Description: Continued with Instrument Cutouts on Main Panel
I finished up drilling and cutting the instrument/switch holes in the main panel. I took it slow and easy with the hole saws and had no problems with the thicker gage aluminum (1/8"). I will make the cut around the perimeter to fit to the instrument pod after all holes are drilled and sized. I still need to make the notches in the panel for the Altimeter and VSI adjustments. The panel face will be supported by six rubber mounts and a small concealed hinge at the bottom of the panel. The panel will tilt forward from the bottom edge to access the instrument connections.
