I wasn't satisfied with the rigidity of the supplied rolled hinges that came with the kit. The fingers are formed and would likely work loose with use. I choose to replace them with an aluminum extruded solid hinge. At over $14.00/foot, I'm glad I only needed about 3 feet. The installed seat assembly appears to have less play in it now. I'll also install 'stops' at each forward inside corner of each seat pan to eliminate any sideways movement. With the collective controls as close as they are to the seat edges, I want to avoid the possibility of the seats sliding around and interfering with the controls.
