Brief Description:  Tail Rotor Tracking and Balancing -UPDATED-

I fabricated the accelrometer and optical pickup brackets in preparation of tracking and balancing the tail rotor. I set the peddles to neutral and then checked each blade to be sure it was at zero degrees with a digital protractor.The tracking stick tick marks showed they needed tracking. I ended up setting each pitch link to an overall length of 3.0475" and then ran the tracking check again. Both blades showed the exact same pattern of tick marks shown in photo 3 below.

With the tracking complete, balancing began. The initial IPS for the tail rotor was .48. After 4 runs I was able to get the IPS down to .05 using the DynaVibe balancer with 3 grams of weight.
