The bottom Longerons start at the firewall directly under the engine mount bolt. They travel rearward, across the bottom skin to a point about 10 cm past the location where the main landing gear would be located if built as a tricycle. In the tricycle version. The longerons stop short of the main gear and are spread further apart at the aft end compared to the Tailwheel version. Since the bottom skin is pre-drilled for the longerons for the tricycle version, I did not want to leave 100s of unused rivet holes if I were to install the longerons as indicated on the plans. Instead, I installed the longerons as intended for the tricycle, using all the rivet holes, and then ran another longeron in the intended location for the tailwheel version. At the point where the two longerons intersected, I bolted the longerons together using AN hardware.
