Brief Description:  Flight instruction

I got my private pilot's license way back in 1980, and since then haven't flown as we raised a family. Now that the kids are raised I decided to take on the hobby again, which is why I'm builiding the airplane. I realize flying is not like riding a bike, so I'm taking lessons from a CFI, Chris Johson, for 10 or 15 hours, and will be going to Oregon for 10 hours of RV-12 transition training with Mike Seager in June.

My CFI, Chris and I have learned the hard way what happens when the Siruis TL3000 light sport training plane has brake issues. I noticed they were spongy when during taxi, and pre-takeoff when reving up to 4000 RPM the brakes didn't hold. We called CT and they had us wait for a tow, which happened to be a golf cart. The tow bar wouldn't fit, so we improvised as you can see in the picture. That's Chris as the tow bar, with Dave behind the wheel. I helped to guide it back to port by the tail.
