Today, I assembled the trim motor to the accessing plate. I did this by mounting the brackets that hold the motor to the access plate by back riveting those brackets onto the plate with three 3-3.5 flush rivets. Prior to that I dimpled the plate appropriately.
Caleb and I the bent the flanges on the elevator skins as was described in the manaul for where the trim tab will go. This was done over wooden blocks that were cut on the mitter saw to the right wedge angle. We then stuck double sided tape to the blocks which keeps it from moving while we pound on it. We then them with the but of a hammer did the finish work with the rivet gun and the flush rivet set.
Once we got that done then we riveted together the E-704 and E-705 followed by riveting on the spar reinforcement and nut plates.
