Brief Description: Drilling aluminum angle and then clecoeing to trai
Today I cut the aluminum angle to the appropriate length for this Rudder trailling edge work using my new bandsaw (well new to me anyways). It cut it beautifully. I then used the skins as a drill guide to drill out all the holes for the trailing edge onto the aluminum angle. The Aluminum angle is used to keep the trailing edge straight while you bond with skins to the AEX wedge together. This will then cure over a couple of days with the angle holding it straight so that you can then double flush rivet this trailing edge together and the bonding agent keeps it straight while you pound away with with the rivet gun. Pretty clever, eh.
Well I called it a day after clecoing it together. I will bond it tomorrow.
