Brief Description: Riveted on counterbalance skin and bolted the weig
Today I riveted on the counterbalance skin to the counterbalance rib. I then bolted on the counterbalance weight. My new flush rivet set really work well not to slide off the mark and cause unwanted dents.
I had to remove several rivets from the lower rib and put on a part that I should have put on first. That was not fun. But it came out OK. I then re-riveted the R-904 rib as before. This is illustrated in the pics.
Next step was to cleco the skins on the spar. That was easy. I had to shave some metal on the inferior leading end to get the skin to slip on over a brace properly. Easily done with the straight aviation snips and deburred with the dremel and coned sanding bit.
Called it a day.
