Brief Description: Clecoed together the VS, drilled and prepped for p
Today I started on the the vertical stabilizer. This is much like the HS in assembly but about half the work. I began by clecoing the skeletal structure together. Then the rudder brackets were clecoed on. Then I clecoed on the skins.
Now that the entire assembly was held together with the sheet metal fasteners, I drilled out the rear spar with the #30 drill bit. Then I drilled out the ribs and spar flanges with a #40 drill bit. Once this was done then I disassembled the whole thing prepared the edges of the ribs, spars and spar doubler. I also deburred all the holes with the exception of the skin. I will do that tomorrow. I also devinyled the spars and doubler.
There is still some prep work left to do prior to priming but I called it a day after the above.
