Brief Description:  Priming parts

Today I primed the skeletal parts of the HS as well as the the internal surfaces of the HS skins. I have read alot on how to prime the aluminum. I have decided to acid etch the parts with phosphoric acid, scratch the surface with scotch brite pads and once it dries then spray priming the parts with two part epoxy primer. There are alot of epoxy primers, but my A&P uses Nason Full-Poxy, and I could get it locally and avoid HAZMAT shipping charges. Although I am sure that the price of the shipping is put into the sale price of the local vendor because the price for 1 gallon of catalyst and primer was ~ $200.00 smackers. Ouch!!!

I also acid etched the rear spar bars which I forgot to do yesturday.
