After resting for a little while I headed back to the factory (my garagre) to work on the project. I decided to put a dent in the HS skins dimpling task. Get it? dent/dimpling, never mind. Anyways, I finished one of the skins and did half of the other. I used a new tool for this. The C-arm bench top dimpler. Please, refer to my next entry for details. This tool although not as cool as the rivet squeezer is efficient and gets the job done.
The purpose of dimpling is to sink the head of a flush rivet so that it is flush with the skin. This helps with aerodynamics, reduce drag and increased SPEED. Yeah Baby!
