Brief Description: Finished Rear Spar assembly and started on Front S
Finished up today on the with drilling the remaining matched holes on the Rear spar assembly. Had fun today with the Rivet gun. Used the 1/8 rivet set to rivet the the bearing in between the tow bracket that I finished drilling through. Messed up a couple of rivets and had to drill them out. What a pain. Anyways, came out pretty good for a first timer. Left the rear spar assembly clecoed together and then moved on to the Front spar assembly.
The Front spar assembly required some tapering of the reinforcment and splice angle. I was doing this on the bench grinder but takes a while and create alot of fine aluminum dust. I did the reinforcement angle but I will take the splice angle over to the airport to use Joe's band saw. Then I will just need to do finish work with the Bench grinder.
