Today I was able to get to the shop and put some more time in on the practice kit. I began by measuring and cutting the hinge to correct length. I removed pin, then cut to length with band saw. Next I clecoed the one half of the hinge to the main box and the other half to the lid in order to match drill. After match driling, I de-burred the hinges, box and lid. Next, I dimpled the hinge piece, the lid, and the box where the hinge will be riveted. In images 2 and 3, you will notice the top hinge piece's dimples are very close to edge. For the tool box this is fine for me, but if this was on the plane, it would need to be re-done.
