I moved the forward canopy latch slot forward. Thanks Russ. I had measured the forwardmost latch slot from the rear edge of the longeron , not from the forward dimension of the rearmost slot. Ii then supported the mistake with a 5 inch length of 3/8 " aluminum. Then I started back on attaching the windshield strip to the Upper Firewall Former. Cut & fit, cut & fit. But it's Clecoedand ready to be drilled out to #30 and rivetting. Thanks to Hugh Beckham for his input re drilling stainless steel. Locate the hole with a center punch enough times to barely get thru the steel, then drill as slow as you can, push as hard as you can and don't stop once you've started.
