Brief Description:  Oil Filter Lines/Baffeling/Wiring

Derek 9.0 Phil 9.0

Derek stopped by Auto Zone this moring and got some tubing for the Air Vent on our Oil/Air Seperator "Burp Bottle" :) Installed without incident.

Connected the starter to the Master Solenoid with 4 Ga. wire.

Built AN Fitting Steel Braided lines for the gascolator to the AeroInjector Carb as well 2 as two oil lines from the oil pump to the in and out of the remote oil filter. Filled the HP1 Oil filter with a whole quart of Valvoline VR1 Racing oil which we will be using for break in as well as on going basis.

Phil spent quite a bit of time working on the air baffeling fences. This takes lots of time and patience of test fitting and refitting to get the fit right. A little bit of blood.

Leah brought us lunch from Schlotzky's which was delicious and a real time saver!!

Derek spent most of the day wiring. We got the holes drilled in the panel for the Ritchie lit compass as well as for the pilot headset jacks and an 1/8 inch audio input jack. We need to obtain one more switch to put in the panel before we can send it off to Brazos Stamping & Engraving for a professional panel face.

Phil made the holes and attachements on the engine and pipes for the Cylinder Head Temp and Exahust Gas Temp probes that will be connected to the RADAC computer for processing to the engine instruments. Derek made the connections to the Compass and Heading sensors and will contact MGL Monday for more information on connection to the EFIS (Flight Instrument Computer)

Installed "EXPERIMENTAL" decal in cockpit per FAA requirements.

Marked the exahust pipes for cutting. We decided it would look best to take them to the muffler shop and have them cut quickly with the chop saw on Monday.
