Met Brad Moffett at the McGregor EAA Hangar after pancakebreakfast to start assembling our Aerovee Engine. Brad had pre mounted the prop hub on the crankshaft for us at his shop by heating the prop hub in the kiln and freezing the crankshaft. At the hangar we began by mounting the large cam wheel to the camshaft. We then attached the cranks to the crankshaft. We progressed up through the point of mating the two case halves. Had a very enjoyable and educational day. We plan on going back to the EAA hangar Monday evening to continue working on the engine.
