Went to McGregor for pancakes this am. Started at the shop about noon. Started test fitting the glare shield in place with the fuel tank. Had to install and remove it several times to get everything to line up. Drilled a hole and inserted a grommet in the glare shield to allow the GPS antennae to pass through. Wired the Fuel Level Probe and mounted it on the left side of the forward fuselage. Cut and installed pieces of carpet in the fuselage. Very pleased as to how that turned out. One more thing down off the list. Continued to straighten out wire runs for neatness. Using Plastic split loom conduit to encase wires that are in view.
Engine was picked up from the VW shop yesterday but we are waiting for the arrival of some special screws to be able to reinstall the motor. Hopefully that will be done this coming week and praying that all the oil leaks are now taken care of.
