Phil spent the morning deburing the proud mandrels left over from riveting the left wing. Determined most of the problem appears to be with the flush head rivets in that as well as jamming up the rivet gun.
Opened up the right wing and found a few bad rivets on the bottom of the wing. Drilled out and replaced those. Cleaned up the inside and autographed the inside of the wing. Used up the rest of the flush rivets we had on the right wing. Ordering more rivets Monday.
After using up all of the rivets, Derek installed the right aileron. Phil worked on installing the dial a trim system in the tail cone. Drilled holes and routed the trim cable back through the cockpit to the elevator bell crank through grommets. Attached springs with hose clamps.
Looking forward to June 23rd. We are going to Waco to have Brad educate us on building the motor!! Can't wait!
