Brief Description:  Engine Cowling - Pt 11

After completing the new top cowl section, I decided to lower the forward edge of the "U" channel along the top edge of the lower cowling to provide a more uniform look with the fuselage lines.

I removed the lower LH side cowl, traced it out onto a new sheet of 2024-T3, 0.025" aluminum and drilled the holes I wanted to retain. I omitted the holes common to the aft edge of the cowl as well as the bottom section.

The new side cowl was then placed back onto the airplane with clecos and straps. Making sure I was snug down the aft side (common to fuselage) I back drilled the new fastener holes.
