Brief Description: Started final prep work on left fuel tank before p
I'm now off work for the holidays until Jan 4 so hopefully I can get a lot of work done on the tanks. I completed both ailerons and flaps so all that is left is to proseal both tanks and then I can close up the wings.
Started by removing the left tank from the wing and drilled #19 holes in skin to spar attachment holes. Then I disassembled the tank and identified all parts so they can go back together in correct place. Some time ago when I match drilled the skin/ribs, I identified about 4 holes that I was not able to match drill at the nose end because I could not line up the tabs. A few rib tabs also had bent slightly so that I could not line up the holes. So now that I have the parts out I fixed the tabs and re-clecoed the ribs to the skin and match drilled them. It wasn't as easy as I describe but I finally got the job done.
I then positioned the T-405 inboard rib tank bracket and T410 reinforcement plate and match drilled to #30. I prepared the T410 plate and match drilled this one to the inside of the outboard tank rib.
