I was at LZU EAA chapter 690 meeting Sat night for a B17 dinner and WWII forum. The second guy on the left is Captain Ted Van Kirk (Dutch), the navigator on B29 Enola Gay under the command of Paul Tibits that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. At 89 he looked and talked like he was in his early 70's. The 3rd guy from left is Col Hal Weekly- WWII B17 pilot and also flew the EAA B17 for 28 years and just stopped flying B17 about 5 years ago. I have a signed copy of his book ( The Last of the combat B17 Drivers) on his experiences in WWII and the B17. He was shot down after 20th mission and has some interesting stories about his return to allied forces.
