Brief Description: Start of deburring left wing ribs
The dreaded wing rib deburring begins. First I sorted all the ribs needed for left wing. The "L" and "R" in each rib part number does not refer to left or right wing as I originally thought but to the direction of the flange! Once the ribs were sorted I started the deburring process by trying out various methods and tools to get best and fastest way.
I used the scotch brite wheel, file, and pads to deburr the edges of the flange. To deburr the difficult to reach areas I used small stips of emery clost along with an assortment of small files, and scotch brite pads. I tend to spend a lot of time to deburr and smooth edges since this will prevent stress crcks from developing. To check the process, I do spot visual inspection using 10X magnifying glass and run my fingers over the edges to make sure I have not forgotten any area.
