Brief Description:  Started to rivet top skin to right wing

Before installing the wing skin, I cleaned the wing skeleton with shop vac, leveled the wing using fishing rod wire clecoed tightly between rivet holes in spar web. Using a car jack below the middle of the rear spar allows for very accurate movement that cannot be achieved using a fixed support. Once I was satisfied, I installed the fuel tank using a handful of screws and attached it to the spar and leading edge and insured that the joint between the tank leading edge and outer leading edge was perfect. Then I clecoed the top skins to the ribs and spars.

I squeezed the rivets in the designated inboard end holes being careful not to rivet marked holes that will be used later in the project to attach wing to fuselage fairings.

Louise helped me to rivet the other rivets. I tried having her use a mushroom type bucking bar on outside while I riveted from inside using offset back riveting rivet tool. After doing a dozen rivets, I decided to reverse the method using rivet gun on outside while Louise bucked the rivets using tungsten bucking bar. The reason for this is that when using the former method the rivets would buckle very slightly but not as I was used to seeing.
