Brief Description: Riveted right wing leading edge to spar
The plans call for riveting the leading edge rib flange to the spar web using AN370AD4 rivets but most builders are using pull rivets and blessed by the designer. In fact the MSP rivets have a slightly better tensile and shear compared with solid -4 rivets. Even with pull rivets, it was very difficult to get at many of the holes. I used a cheap pull rivet from ACE hardware and ground the head because of clearance issues. I'll have to buy another one to do the left wing leading edge because the clamping mechanism is shot. The solid rivets in the same pictures attach the main wing ribs to the spar web and were done last year
