Brief Description:  Disassemble left elevator

Disassembled elevator and deburred holes and smoothed edges in preparation for priming. I tried to use the scotch brite wheel to smooth the edges of the remaining left elevator parts. When I visited Steve Ashby he told me that initially with his first scotch brite wheel, he would smooth parts much the same as I did which eventually leaves deep grooves in the wheel but with the second wheel, he ran the parts across the wheel instead and this keeps the surface of the SBW uniform with no grooves. Before doing this I though I removed most of the grooves using scrap pieces of aluminium and an old steel file I didn't need anymore. You can still see a bit of the grooves but this will disappear eventually. In pictures below I am smoothing the edges of very small brackets used to mount the trim tab servo. Turned out to work very well with very good control with no tendency to fling the part out of my hand...which is a good thing.
