Winter storms in Atlanta are rare and this one was the most I've seen in the 15 years in Atlanta. Normally just a few inches causes a lot of havoc with traffic and everyone goes shopping for supplies as if this will last a few months. Coming from Montreal where this is a normal occurrence and with much more snow, its really funny to see reactions. The accumulation was not more than about 4 inches around my house but the wet snow fell for at least 12 hours and the roads were pretty much frozen over the next day because of the low night temperature... for Atlanta at least. Of course everything was gone within 2 days but my youngest daughter Lisa enjoyed every minute.
