Brief Description:  More edge work on rudder parts and another opps mo

Filed and smoothed the edges of all rudder parts. Worked on front spar assembly. Made the R917 shim for the bottom of the rudder supporting the rudder horn. Here's why I don't like the scotch brite wheel. I was using it to smooth the edges of the rudder horn and took too much material off on the ends of the angle. I'll have to take a picture of the wheel and post it to get some comments from other builders. From constant use at the beginning, I created grooves in the wheel and when the parts I'm trying to smooth gets in to the groove, it tends to take too much material of the sides. It seems to work better on longer parts since there is more stability. In any case I had to send this part to the wall of shame and ordered one from Van's. It's real easy to order parts from Van's web site. Since I ordered Dec 22, I was not expecting the shipment to be very quick. In fact I had to wait until Jan 10 to receive it.
