Removed about 1 inch of the protective material from both rudder skins . Deburred stiffner attach holes on skin and then set up the DRDT-2... I can never remember this acronym, so I usually call it the R2D2.... much easier to say and write. Anyway, I switched to an old Weller 80 watt soldering iron I had. The previous one was about half the wattage. With 80 watt power, removing the protective armour is a snap.
