This first attempt at using priming process. Decided to take it slow and learn as I go. I purchased a whole bunch of plastic spray applicator bottles for both the Alumiprep 33 and Alodine 1201. As others have done, I applied Alumiprep 33 to the parts and scrubbed them very well with SB pad. I devised several types of containers to do this. For small parts like ribs, I used a plastic tub ( approx 15*20*8) used for mixing cement. For longer parts like spars, I fabricated a long trough using 4 mil plastic and lenghts of 3/4" square pcs of wood ripped on my band saw. I stapled the plastic to the strips with enough slack to form a nice trough.
Things learned (after priming) : after rinsing parts with water, do not use use rag to dry parts ...just air dry so that no lint adheres to part which messes up the finish during spraying
Homemade trough for long parts
This is a rudder part but shows the process used for Alumiprep 33 small parts
For large parts like skins, I just put a 4 mil sheet over table
