Brief Description: Smoothed, straightened, and fluted all left side
Ordered alumiprep 33, alodine 1201, and AKZO epoxy primer from Aircraft Spruce. Expensive stuff but after doing a lot of research and checking what other builders are doing, I decided to go all out in priming process. Started to prepare ribs by smoothing, straightening, and fluting ribs of left side HS. I used primarily scotch brite wheel and pads for this process but also used small file and emery cloth.....whatever it takes to get edges smooth to the touch equal to 400 or better. Paid particular attention to hard to reach corners to make sure and reduce possibility of crack initiation.
