Brief Description: Dimpled, assembled and started riveting left flap
Started the day by dimpling all the left flap parts. The instructions are not clear in fact omit the requirement to rivet the rear rib flages to the bottom skin rear spar but it is somewhat obvious since the drawing calls out for AN 470 solid rivet.
I then fabricated the spacers that fit between the bottom skin and the rib. I followed the instructions but ended up with one of the holes too close to the edge so I had to redo one spacer. To make sure I don't do this again, I cut the spacer longer than required, installed in positioned and match drilled through bottom skin. I then cut the spacer at correct edge distance.
Next I fabricated the recommeded V blocks to help assemble and rivet the flaps. I then riveted the spanwise holes where top and bottom skins meet.
