Brief Description: Pulled tank skin over ribs and matched drilled LE
I bought two new web clamps to pull the fuel tank skin over the ribs. I couldn't believe the amount that had to be pulled. Since the top skin is seen, I clecoed that side first before pulling the skin tight. After the tank skin was clecoed and secured, I checked the fit of the leading edge and tank at the joint plate and it was perfect on both top and bottom. I was pleased with the progress and the result.
After that I drilled the 14 holes that will have the AN509-8R8 screws to attach the tank to the joint plate. I c'sunk the holes for the nutplate rivets that will secure the Z brackets to outboard rib to the main spar web
Lastly tonight I match drilled the left wing leading edge and tank skin/ribs and also match drilled the span wise rivet holes on top skin
