Brief Description: Alodined and primed LW main ribs
Long evening. I was up until midnight. I alodined then primed all the main ribs for LW. In the past, I hung the primed parts on finishing nails nailed to edge of a work bench. I decided to improve the system by first cuting an 8' -2x4 in half and nailing finishing nails as hooks to both. I can then clamp these two to the work table as shown. When done I can unclamp and put them away.
I probably said this before but the alumiprep and alodine process is very time consuming and I'm not even sure if I really add any value. I may eliminate the alodine when I prime the RW ribs. I do not really see and difference between the full process I have been using and just scotch brite the parts and prime.
I was just a little short of primer to finish the 14 ribs. I prepared a second batch and calculated that I need just less than 1 oz of primer for each ribs and will use this information when priming RW ribs and other parts
