Brief Description:  The wings have arrived

Finally my wings have arrived. Helping me with the task of picking up the crates from local ABF terminal was my friend and business colleague Ben Majerus. Ben and I just completed giving a three day technical training program and at 5 sharp both of us headed back to my place to pick up the F250 and a 4 horse trailer ( minus the horses and poop) and headed for the ABF terminal about an hour away.

The folks at ABF were very helpful. I was amazed at the quality of the crating. The ABF fork lift driver was able to load the two crates, one of which is 15.5 ft long into the trailer without any help from Ben and I. The only near miss happened when the fork lift driver noticed my digital camera was inches short of being crushed by one of his forks. He caught it just in time.

The crates loaded, Ben and I headed home to unload and open the crates. Man these are heavy. We were able to carry the 15ft one into my basement but had to use a cart to carry the other one. Once inside I promptly got the tools out to open and take a peek. To my surprise the tops of the crates were easy to remove. Ben noticed that I was starting to drool over my latest investment.

After checking that there was not any internal damage we called it a night and ordered a couple of pizzas before Ben headed home. It was no surprise to me to see how well everything was packed. Van does an incredible job. Next job....INVENTORY ALL THESE PARTS
