After bending elevator tab, I realized I had forgotten to prime the outside surface of the bottom tab, so I started the day by preparing a small batch of primer to spray the tab. I could have brushed on the primer but I don't like the resulting finish. Brushing is OK for small areas that are not seen and edges. I also needed a small amount to coat the solid rivets before riveting the elevator horn. I found this Handy Mask when I visited the Woodcraft store last week so I thought I would try it out. One edge has a strip of masking and the container has a built in serated edge and this one comes in a 65 ft rool. After applying the mask, you can leave it as is or fold over a second layer to double the masking area. The masking paper is very thin and easy to apply. Could have used it earlier in the project
