Brief Description: Drill deburr, and dimple skin and skeleton and wi
TODAY I PLACED MY ORDER WITH VANS FOR THE WING KIT. The EMP is almost finished so with a lead time of 8 weeks ( I think it will be sooner) I will have enough time to finish EMP and make some changes to the workshop in preparation for wings....CAN'T WAIT.
Today was the tedeous but easy part. Assemble parts, cleco everything together, drill to final size, take everything apart, debuur all holes....both sides, then dimple. Also had to countersing 4 holes on forward side of spar where 426 - 3.5 rivets will join spar and root rib. Reasen for flush rivets is that the elevator horn will be placed over these rivets later.
Instead of using my pneumatic countersink tool, I used my hand deburring tool because I was concerned that I would over do it with the pneunatic tool since the spar material is relatively thin. Worked great and was easy to check using a AD-426 rivet.
