Before bending the skin trailing edge, I had to replace 3 rivets ( all on trailing edge). Somehow I had difficulty to rivet and hold the skin at almost 90deg in order that the rivet gun was perpendicular. I was finally able to finish these correctly with the help of my daughter Lisa. She held the skin while both of my hands were free to set the rivets.
I bought a length of 2x6 and cut it in half to form the bending brake. I used 4 hinges along the length. I found that the brake does not seem to work very well, so I reverted to a technique I used a long time ago to form the HS leading edge on a Fly Baby rebuild. Alll I did is lay the elevator on a flat surface ( my workbench is very flat and works well for this). Then I layed a 2X4 on the flat side along the length of the trailing edge and began to put pressure until I was statisfied I had the right shape.
Then I clecoed in the skeleton to get ready to drill to final size. I'll do that tomorrow
