I finally received the stiffner from Vans. Not sure if this is how they package all parts but works for me. The length of aluminum only weighs an astounding few oz. and was shipped in this heavy duty 160PSI rated water tube. The packaging and shipment cost was way more than the value of the part, but no possibility of damaged parts. Van's is a class act. Of course, I'm the guy who paid for the part, bullet proof packaging, and shipment. I'm still waiting for the rudder horn but I decided to go ahead and start priming the parts tomorrow. When I placed the order for rudder horn, I also purchased the fuel tank Chem Seal sealant from Vans.
