Brief Description:  Started sealing

OK here we go. I tried to delay the start of sealing the tank as much as I could. I went out of order according to the manual by completing the ailerons and flaps. But now that those are done I really need to tackle the tanks. I followed the recommendation of several builders by adding a dab of proseal in the rivet dimples before placing the rivet. I also followed the recommendation to soak the rivets in MEK for a while to remove any oils. As are all builders, I was a bit cautious first time around.. The not so nice think about proseal is that it is very sticky so I thought I would use that to my advantage. Before picking up a rivet, I would dab a bit of the stuff on the tip of my finger (of course I hade my latex gloves on) so that the rivet would stick out from the end of my finger….worked great and wasn’t nearly as messy. Not sure if it will make a difference but I alodined the stiffeners for about 4 minutes; that’s why the golden color. I spread the proseal on the stiffener ribs and placed them one at a time over the installed rivets and back riveted them. So far the process was relatively easy and cleaner than expected. Of course I went through about 10 pairs of gloves in the process.
