Brief Description:  Seat Modifications

Wow, I haven't done any building on Miss Tango for 4 months! Today, after several months of negotiating a new job, and relocating myself from Roxby Downs to Mount Gambier, I finally got some time to work on the build again. Now that I'm back in my real home town, and close to my hangar, then I'm going to be in a position to get back into the build properly again.

Anyway, after working out where I got to on the seat modification back in March, I set about finishing the job today. I found that the seat support bar needed to be modified quite a lot to fit around all the bolts associated with the canopy blocks and slider extension rails. Also, since one of the secondary features is the ability to take the rail out (for ease of access when doing annual inspections), I refrained from reinstalling any rivets that would prevent this.

After reassembling everything I then put the pilot seat back in and tested the new, revised seating position ........ oh yeah, this is a good mod. I now have much better space between mysellf and the instrument panel, while still maintaining a position whereby everything is within easy reach. I love it.
