I did a bit more work today on the seat modifications. First I drilled out the rivets that hold the right side of the original support member in place. Then I cleaned up all the holes, test fitted the new cover piece, then match drilled new rivet holes.
After that was all done I cleaned up the cover piece, alodined and then primed it. I'll finish this off tomorrow.
