After I'd assembled the front deck skin yesterday, I climbed into the cockpit and just sat for a while. I'm glad I did, because I noticed that there is a slight gap in a few spots where the top edge of the panel meets the glareshield skin, and you can just see the light green mounting bracket behind.
This is not a real big deal, but I'm sure it will end up bugging me on a long flight, so I decided to un-cleco the skin on both sides, pull it back and take out the brackets while I still can.
With the brackets removed I gave them a hit with some black paint. I'll refit them tomorrow after the paint has hardened.
UPDATE 17/03/20: Reinstalled the painted brackets (third picture below). Is now heaps better. Small gaps are no longer noticeable.
