I got back to the workshop this afternoon after lunch only to find my freshly painted top front skin had been caught in the wind and blown across the driveway. Bugger. There was some minor damage that involved bending one corner back flat, and filing out some "gravel rash" on a small section of one edge. Nothing serious, just a bother. There was also a lot of scratching on the matt black top surface, so I sanded it all back ready to paint again. I actually didn;t like the finish so was going to do this anyway.
After that I pondered what next, and decided to start making the two fuel tank attach brackets. They're now done ready for when I attach the wings.
Lastly this afternoon I removed the engine controls bracket and the two fresh air vent brackets. I've organised to send them off for painting satin black, to match the instrument panel.
