I've come down with a dreaded loogy, so not much happening today unfortunately. After spending the morning in bed, this afternoon I dragged myself out to the workshop and got a couple little jobs done.
I finished bolting in the second landing gear weldment. The nuts are a bugger to get to on these large brackets, and I could get the torque wrench onto only a few. The rest I just had to guesstimate the amount of torque I was applying. I'll be checking these bolts as part of my annual inspections.
Another little job I got done today was finishing off the wiring from the outside air temperature (OAT) probe to the ADAHRS unit. I drilled a few holes so I could cable tie the wires neatly up under the ADAHRS bracket.
Lastly, I made a start on the autopilot pitch servo. This mounts in the bottom of the fuselage and bolts up to the elevator bellcrank. I needed to drill out a few of the rivets in the bottom longitudinal floor rib so the servo bracket can mount up flush to it. I then match drilled the servo bracket to the floor rib, before then alodining and painting it.
That'll do for today. Might go back to bed.
