The next step, after the steps, is to make up the little nylon wear strips that prevent the seat belt wire ropes from rubbing against the aluminum bulkhead of the baggage compartment (where they come through the wall).
The nylon pieces were already the right size so it was a simple matter of marking and drilling the holes. With the baggage compartment bulkhead covers temporarily screwed into position I positioned and clamped the wear strips in place and verified there would be enough clearance for the wire ropes. I didn;t like what I saw, so removed the cover pieces and enlarged the pre-made notches by about 1/16". With everything temporarily screwed back in place I was then happy that the 3/16" wire ropes would fit neatly in the space made by the two nylon blocks.
After making up the eight square washers (marked, drilled, cut, deburred, smoothed, acid etched and alodined) I then assembled.
One more task finished.....only about a million to go!
