Another step I came across today that hasn't already been done is fabrication and installation of the tail tie-down bracket.
This was very awkward to install into the quick-built fuselage and would be much easier to do during assembly of the bulkhead, as per the instructions. For some reason Vans seem to leave out obscure steps for the quick-builder to do, which actually end up taking more time due to difficulty of installation. Anyway, I got it done.

Match drilling the tie-down to the rear-most bulkhead. Try doing this without a right-angle drill
Tie-down riveted into the tail section. Four bolts get added later for further strength.
