Brief Description:  1: Voltage Regulator

When considering the voltage regulator I simply assumed it would be mounted in the engine bay, just like in a car. A few weeks ago I discovered that it needs to be mounted on the pilot side of the firewall. Oops ..... I've run out of available space!

I pondered this problem for quite some time before deciding to mount the regulator on the back side of the instrument sub-panel. I figure that this will work if I fit nutplates to the regulator body and bolt through from the front. Unbolting the regulator in the event of failure will not be easy, but at least it will still be possible without laying on my back with my head up under the panel.

I mounted it directly behind the VP-X, so this will also need to be removed to get at the mounting bolts. I just hope the B&C equipment is as reliable as they say.

Not my prefered mounting location for the regulator. Is still accessible though, albeit difficult
